Rejista Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Rejista, you agree to be bound by these Terms, including any updates made in the future. You also agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Rejista reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will take effect upon publication in the app or on our website. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to use Rejista.
• By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are using Rejista on behalf of an organisation or group, you represent that you are authorised to act on its behalf.
• Rejista may suspend or terminate any account if we believe the user is underage or the account is being misused.

3. Description of Service

Rejista provides digital tools that help organisations manage:

• Member contributions such as dues, levies, and donations
• Transparent elections and voting processes
• Questionnaires and surveys for decision-making
• Group and private chats for communication
• Activity comments and engagement tracking

Rejista does not directly handle or process financial transactions. Users make payments through their preferred methods and upload proof for verification within the app.

4. User Responsibilities

When using Rejista, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when registering or updating your account.
• Use the app only for lawful organisational purposes.
• Upload only genuine and verifiable payment proofs.
• Respect the privacy and rights of other users.
• Avoid any actions that could disrupt or damage the Service.

You agree not to:

• Use Rejista for fraudulent or illegal activities.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
• Upload harmful, obscene, defamatory, or misleading content.
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or misuse the platform in any way.

5. Election and Voting Integrity

Rejista provides tools for conducting elections and polls. While every effort is made to ensure transparency and security, the accuracy of results depends on the information provided by group administrators and members.

Rejista is not liable for disputes arising from internal group elections, results interpretation, or voting outcomes.

6. Content Ownership and Usage

• All software, designs, and content within the Rejista app remain the exclusive property of Rejista.
• By posting or uploading content (including chat messages, comments, or files), you grant Rejista a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display, and process that content solely to operate the Service.
• Rejista reserves the right to remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

7. Account Suspension and Termination

Rejista reserves the right to suspend or permanently deactivate any account that:

• Engages in fraudulent activity
• Misuses the app or its features
• Uploads false or misleading payment proofs
• Violates applicable laws or these Terms

We may also delete any related data where legally permissible.

8. Data Protection

• Your use of Rejista is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, and protect your data.
• By using Rejista, you consent to data processing in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

Rejista, its partners, affiliates, and service providers are not liable for:

• Loss of data, financial loss, or damages resulting from misuse of the Service.
• Any fraudulent activities, false uploads, or misrepresentations by users.
• Network failures, server downtime, or system errors.
• Losses arising from group-internal disputes, election outcomes, or administrative errors.

In no event shall Rejista's total liability exceed the amount (if any) paid by the user for use of the Service within the last twelve (12) months.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rejista, its affiliates, partners, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:

• Your use or misuse of the Service.
• Any breach of these Terms.
• Any violation of applicable laws or third-party rights.

11. Third-Party Services

Rejista may integrate with or rely on third-party services (such as hosting providers or authentication tools).

Rejista is not responsible for the actions, policies, or failures of these third parties. Users agree that Rejista and its partners shall not be held liable for any losses arising from third-party systems.

12. Underage Usage

• Users under the age of 16 are not permitted to create or use an account.
• If Rejista becomes aware that an account belongs to a minor, we reserve the right to terminate the account immediately and delete associated data.

13. Service Availability

Rejista strives to provide continuous access but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, technical updates, or unforeseen issues may cause temporary service disruptions.

14. Dispute Resolution

• If a dispute arises, both parties agree to first attempt amicable resolution through arbitration in Nigeria, under the rules of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) Nigeria Branch.
• If arbitration fails to resolve the issue, either party may refer the matter to a court of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
